Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities and Duties:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Designer. You will be responsible for the accurate modeling and the creation of associated customer and manufacturing documentation for an assigned project. Working with the Project Engineer to produce a functionally reliable, quality design that meets project specification, budget and schedule. Under the supervision of Senior Designers and you will be creating 3D models of large fluid systems; preparing complete customer and manufacturing drawings; and providing structural design of atmospheric reservoirs, steel decks and enclosures. You will also be responsible for preparing the detailed design of piping spools, reservoirs, structural bases, enclosures, supports and other related components; preparing manufacturing material lists; and supporting the Engineering Staff on other project-related documentation and technical concerns.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree, Technician/Technologist Diploma or equivalent;
- A minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience.
- Strong knowledge of, and proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Familiar with PDM software.
- Experienced and proficient with mechanical design & drawing, fluid mechanics, piping systems, tubing, hydraulic diagrams, welding techniques, manufacturing dimensioning and tolerances.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills and outstanding organizational skills.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.

Manufacturing Helper
Location:
Pickering, ON
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in installing and fabricating piping, pumps, motors, structure, tanks, and instrumentation. Conduct preventative and corrective work of a mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic nature. Assist in preparing, blasting, cleaning, painting and finishing parts, fabrication and structures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude with a knowledge of pumps, instrumentation, and electronics
- Must be able to read and follow instructions and adhere to work instructions/procedures.
- Must be able to identify standard materials and hardware for type, size, and grade.
- Prior knowledge or experience with power and hand tools, measuring devices, and basic fabrication shop practices.
- Able to move tools, equipment, and other materials to and from work areas.
- Able to work with little guidance required
- Ability to work with a safety focus

Responsibilities and Duties:
We currently require a motivated, career-minded Buyer for the tactical procurement of commodities, supplies, and equipment, to be used by our organization. The Buyer will coordinate with Engineering and Production to satisfy the needs of the external and internal customers. This individual will utilize sound knowledge to purchase goods and services at the most favourable price, while simultaneously building and maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers. The Buyer also reviews requisitions, confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Buyer.
- Demonstrated understanding of expediting theories and principles.
- Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
- Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.
